ABOUT
Who runs Raleigh Plumbing Guide
A small independent site about residential plumbing problems in Raleigh and nearby Wake County. Practical notes, not a substitute for a plumber on site.
Who writes it
Mike M — Editor
Mike M writes practical home-service guides for homeowners. These pages explain common problems and what to ask a licensed pro; they are not a substitute for on-site diagnosis.
How we write these guides
- Local notes — ice storms, red-clay lots, crawlspaces inside the Beltline, slabs farther out — are either tied to a public source or written as general guidance.
- We do not publish repair steps that put you under pressure, in a crawlspace with sewage, or next to a gas appliance.
- We do not invent ratings, reviews, or prices.
- If a page is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
How the site is paid for
Some pages show a phone number. Calls to it are routed by CallScaler to independent plumbing companies that pay for those calls, and part of that payment comes to this site. That is how we cover our costs. The companies are not part of this site: we don’t choose which one answers, and we don’t warrant or supervise their work. Guides are written the same way whether or not a page shows the number. There is no other advertising, affiliate linking or sponsored content.
What we are not
We are not a plumbing company, a city utility, or an emergency dispatch line. If sewage is flooding living space, you smell gas, or someone is hurt, keep clear and call for help.
